The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Report is below:
On 01-18-2020 at about 0300, a Nez Perce County Deputy attempted to stop a white passenger car on US 95 near MP 312, for speeding. The vehicle initially failed to stop for the Deputy and continued Northbound on US 95 and then Westbound Hwy 12 across Memorial Bridge. The Deputy followed the vehicle with emergency lights and siren on. As the Deputy tried to catch the speeding car, it accelerated disregarding the Deputy’s attempt to stop the car. The car stopped at the bottom 21st St.. The Deputy was able to contact the occupants of the vehicle, bearing Idaho registration N211348 a white 2012 Honda Fit registered to Daisy Albert of Lewiston. The Deputy made contact with the Honda’s occupants, the driver, a male subject later identified as twenty-three-year-old Eric Pollan of Lewiston, and the female passenger, later identified as Pollan’s mother forty-six-year-old Daisy Albert. As the Deputy was talking with Pollan and Albert, Pollan did not listen to directions the Deputy was giving Pollan to turn off the vehicle’s engine and drove away from the Deputy and traveled Eastbound on East Main street. The Deputy attempted to follow the Honda in his patrol vehicle, but lost sight of the Honda on East Main St., just East of Larry’s Food and Deli. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor.
The Deputy and a Lewiston Police Officer went to Albert’s residence. The Honda was at the house, and Albert was taken into custody for Parties to a Crime and Resisting/Obstructing an Officer. Pollan was not located at the residence and is still at large.
The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about Eric Pollan’s location to contact our office at 208-799-3131 ext. 1. The investigation continues to reference this incident.
