Poor weather conditions Tuesday forced searchers to suspend efforts to locate a missing Colville, Washington man in the Waha area south of Lewiston.

Allan Sloan

29-year-old Allan Sloan was last seen Dec. 7th in the area. His family reported him missing Sunday. The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office says he’s not been seen or heard from since that night and has had no phone activity. His 2013 Dodge Ram pickup was found Monday stuck in the snow near Wapshilla Ridge.

Search efforts will resume today (Wed). The sheriff’s office has also asked for the assistance of Idaho Fish and Game officers to check cabins in the area that are known to be stocked with food and firewood.

Sloan is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 180 pounds with a medium build, dark, medium-length hair and a short beard. Anyone with any information is asked to call 911 or the sheriff’s office at (208) 799-3131. (Lewiston Tribune)
