Sheriff Brett Myers has formally announced he will seek re-election to the post of Whitman County Sheriff in the upcoming primary election later this year. Myers, who has been serving as the Whitman County Sheriff since January of 2003, announced on Tuesday that he will seek a sixth term in the position. In a statement, Myers emphasized local involvement, active patrolling and empowered employees as vital components to his office’s success in solving crimes and ensuring those who break the law and victimize others are held accountable.
