Nez Perce County Magistrate Judge Michelle Evans has announced she is running for the Second Judicial District Judge position to replace retiring Judge Jay Gaskill.
Evans will be running against Nez Perce County Prosecutor Justin Coleman and retired Second District Judge John Bradbury.
Evans became the magistrate judge in 2014 when she replaced Gaskill after he moved to the district judge position. She also worked as a deputy prosecuting attorney for 20 years in Lewis and Latah counties.
The primary election will be held May 17th for all registered voters in the five counties of the Second Judicial District that includes Clearwater, Idaho, Latah, Lewis and Nez Perce counties. (Lewiston Tribune)
