The cause of Sunday night’s power outage in parts of Lewiston and Clarkston was a squirrel.
An investigation by Avista found the squirrel entered the utility’s Lewiston substation near the Southway Bridge and caused the outage at 5:35 p.m. Sunday.
Power was first restored to some customers at around 8:30 p.m. The last affected area had power restored by around 10:20 p.m.
