Seattle Mariner rookie outfielder Julio Rodriguez put on a power show during last (Mon) night’s MLB All-Star Game Homerun Derby at Dodger Stadium.

The 21-year-old set the tone by hitting 32 homers in the first round. He then smashed 31 in the second round to eliminate two-time defending homerun derby champion Pete Alonso.

But in the final, his 18 homers were bested by Washington slugger Juan Soto, who took home his first homerun derby crown.

J-Rod will likely get another opportunity next season when Seattle hosts the mid-summer classic at T-Mobile Park.

Rodriguez and teammate Ty France are representing the Mariners in tonight’s (Tue) All-Star Game which gets underway at 5 p.m. with coverage on FOX.
