An Oregon man was arrested following a traffic stop along U.S. Highway 95 east of Lewiston.
According to the Nez Perce County Prosecutor’s Office, 33-year-old Jacob Anderson was taken into custody by Idaho State Police after a trooper stopped the vehicle for having no visible license plates.
Anderson provided a false driver’s license and was taken into custody after attempting to flee.
His real name was later discovered along with methamphetamine in the vehicle.
Law enforcement later learned Anderson was a fugitive wanted in several Oregon counties for various crimes, including the assault of a Portland Police Officer.
He was being held in the Nez Perce County Jail on a $10,000 bond and authorities are working on his extradition back to Oregon.
