Families with high school students with disabilities, 504 Plans, Individualized Educational Plans, or a documented disability, are invited to attend the Asotin County Resource Fair on October 12th at 5:30 pm at the Asotin County Fire District Station in Clarkston.

High School students with disabilities ages 16-21, or as young as 14 in certain circumstances, may be eligible for FREE career readiness services from the Washington State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.

Families are invited to attend with their high school student and their younger siblings to discover a plan and a pathway towards future employment goals and social development. Students with disabilities ages 19-21 may be eligible for Job Foundations and find out about paid summer work opportunities and paid work during the school year for students with disabilities.

Free transportation is provided with coordinating schools. A meal is provided as well as free books and fire truck demonstrations for the younger family members.

Vocational Rehabilitation provides services to individuals who want to work but need assistance due to a physical, sensory, cognitive or mental disability.

If families are unable to attend but would like information about their student’s eligibility, contact Jennifer at the Washington State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation at 509.780.7687.
