GRANGEVILLE, ID – A 34-year-old White Bird man who was arrested a few days ago in Idaho County was charged with a felony after allegedly destroying jail property. Kasper Harvey was arrested and jailed on December 9th for felony eluding and misdemeanor driving without privileges after passing a deputy patrol vehicle on a motorcycle without a license plate on US 95 near the turnoff to Old Highway 95.
“Deputies attempted a traffic stop, but the motorcycle failed to yield, going speeds up to 70 MPH on a 35 MPH road. The vehicle finally stopped at the dumpsters on Old Highway 95 near the dumpsters,” officials previously said.
Yesterday, a deputy was dispatched to the jail to investigate a report of an inmate destroying jail property.
“Upon investigation, it was discovered that the inmate had purposefully thrown a Turn Key phone tablet against the wall subsequently destroying the tablet,” a press release states.
Harvey was arrested for felony injuring jails, Idaho Code 18-7018.
