CASCADE, ID – The Idaho Sled Dog Challenge will take place during the McCall Winter Carnival. KXLY reports that the event will be held January 21st through February 3rd and will feature world-class mushers competing in races of 100 and 300 miles.
New for 2023 is the two-day 26-mile Warm Lake Stage Race.
The premier event is the 300-mile race; it is a qualifier for the Iditarod and Yukon Quest, both considered the longest and toughest races in the world. Many participants in this race are also competing in the Rocky Mountain Triple Crown.
