COLFAX, WA – The Whitman County Coroner has released the cause of death for a 19-year-old Washington State University student who was found dead in his Perham Hall dorm room on January 22nd. Luke Morgan Tyler of Redmond, Washington died as the result of a suicide, Annie Pillers has ruled.
“The cause of death is acute intoxication due to the combined effects of alcohol and bupropion,” a press release says.
Bupropion is the generic name for Wellbutrin and Zyban, which is used to treat depression, according to Mayo Clinic. It is also used as part of a support program to help people stop smoking.
