COEUR D’ALENE, ID – Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador says a 55-year-old Coeur d’Alene man was arrested Thursday for alleged sexual exploitation of a child. This followed a lengthy investigation conducted by investigators with his Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. Douglas M. Tonning was booked into the Kootenai County Jail. He is alleged to have possessed sexually exploitative material.
“Our ICAC team continues to do tremendous work every day. I’m proud of their dedication to defending the defenseless. We will never stop fighting to keep the children of Idaho safe,” Labrador says.
Coeur d’Alene Police Department, Idaho State Police, and the Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office assisted the ICAC Unit with the investigation.
Anyone with information regarding the exploitation of children is encouraged to contact local police, the Attorney General’s ICAC Unit at 208-947-8700, or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678.
