Lewiston Man Indicted by Federal Grand Jury for Alleged Possession of Child Pornography

LEWISTON, ID – A federal grand jury has indicted a Lewiston man for possession of child pornography. According to court documents, on or about January 12th, 54-year-old Ronald Lee Asker, Jr. allegedly possessed materials “which contained child pornography.”

“[T]hat is, one or more visual depictions, the production of which the Defendant knew involved the use of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct, which image or images have been transported using the internet, a means and facility of interstate commerce, and were produced using materials that had been mailed, shipped and transported in and affecting interstate and foreign commerce by any means, including by a computer, to wit: an iPhone 12…and a Microsoft Surface Tablet computer,” the indictment says.

Asker faces up to 10 years in prison, not less than five years to lifetime supervised release, a $250,000 fine, and a special assessment of $5,100.
