CLARKSTON, WA – Clarkston High School will host the Southeast Washington Honor Festival on Monday, March 6th. The event features students from Asotin, Dayton, Oakesdale, Garfield-Palouse, St. John-Endicott, Rosalia, Washtucna, Connell, and Clarkston high schools.
“This event showcases advanced music students from local schools who will join together in two large ensembles to perform a concert,” a press release says. “Students in these ensembles have been challenged to learn their music in advance of the concert before they rehearse it in the full band and choir on Monday.”
The choir will be directed by Dan Bukvick, a renowned composer, and the band will be directed by Dr. Jason Johnston, both respected professors from the University of Idaho.
The concert will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Clarkston High School Auditorium, 401 Chestnut Street. Admission is charged at this event. Preschool is free, seniors/students are $3, adults are $4, and families are $10.
