The Lewis-Clark State baseball team made history in slugging it’s way to a pair of Cascade Conference wins over Corban yesterday (Sun) at Harris Field.

In the first game, the Warriors fell behind 13-3 before mounting a stunning comeback and winning 18-14. Nick Seamons homered twice with 4 runs batted in, and became the first LC player this season to record a five-hit game. Cam Smith got the win with three innings of 1 run relief, recording 6 strikeouts. The 10-run deficit was the largest-ever to be overcome by a Lewis-Clark State baseball team.

In the second game, the Warriors scored five runs in both the fifth and sixth innings on their way to a 14-5 series-clinching win. Nick Seamons homered twice again and Joe Canty was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle, going 4-for-4 with 3 runs-batted-in. Jace Taylor picked up his first win of the season with 2 shutout innings in relief.

The 3rd ranked Warriors travel to Vancouver this weekend for a four-game Cascade Conference series with the University of British Columbia Friday through Sunday.
