Three Kooskia Homes a Total Loss; Idaho Fire Marshal’s Office Begins Investigation Tomorrow

KOOSKIA, ID – Three houses were a total loss as a result of a fire last night in Kooskia. Crews from Kooskia Ambulance and the Kooskia Fire Department were dispatched to the 700 block of Fall Avenue near Ping Street at 8:18 p.m. Upon arrival, one residence was fully engulfed with two neighboring residences starting to catch fire.
“Mutual aid was requested from Kamiah Fire-Rescue along with several other local agencies. As there were at least 4 homes being threatened due to the fire. The fire was able to be knocked down and was deemed “not a threat” to the other residents. Kooskia Fire Department sent crews this morning to mop up and make sure the fire was out,” according to Kooskia Emergency Services.
The Idaho State Fire Marshal’s Office will arrive tomorrow morning to investigate.
There were no injuries. The American Red Cross has been in contact with those affected.
