The National Weather Service in Missoula, has issued a flood watch for portions of central Idaho and north central Idaho.
According to the Lewiston Tribune, areas that could be affected include the Orofino-Grangeville region, along with the mountains in the Clearwater River drainage and the backcountry areas in and around Orogrande in southeastern Idaho County.
Predicted rainfall, combined with snow melt over the next few days, will lead to an additional rise in area creeks and streams. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
