ASOTIN, WA – Alcohol and speed may have been a factor in a crash south of Asotin at about 4:30 p.m. this afternoon according to the Asotin County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies, along with Asotin County Fire District #1 and Lewiston Medics were dispatched to the rollover crash on Snake River Road about one-half mile up the Snake River.
“Upon Deputies arrival, they located a red 2006 Ford Ranger that had left the road ejecting both the juvenile male driver and female juvenile passenger to the vehicle. The female passenger was lodged under the pickup. Deputies and medics were able to free the female passenger. Both were transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Hospital with what appeared to be non-life [threatening] injuries,” a press release says.
The female juvenile is a Clarkston resident and the male juvenile driver is a Lewiston resident. Both occupants were not wearing their seatbelts. The vehicle was registered to Shaun Fiamengo of Lewiston, the sheriff’s office adds.
