Man shot right in the cell phone

A man was wounded in a shooting in New Haven, Connecticut, but his cell phone saved him.

On Tuesday night, the man was shot while inside his car.

Officers found the victim lying in the street with a gunshot wound.

Police said his cell phone was struck by the bullet, which prevented the man from being harmed further.

He was transported to a hospital with a graze wound.
