SPOKANE, WA – The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the region due to a hot, dry weekend followed by gusty thunderstorm outflow winds and heightened fire danger. Today a cold front is bringing thunderstorms region-wide along with cooler temperatures.
● Fire Weather: Elevated to critical conditions with dry (little to no rain) thunderstorms.
● Flood Potential (Okanogan County): Slow-moving storms, heavy rain, burn scars susceptible to localized flooding
● TUE through FRI: Mostly dry and breezy. Slightly cooler (near normal) temperatures.
● Next Weekend: Temperatures climbing back above normal into mid/upper 90s and 100s.
