Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, a 100 percent employee-owned global leader in products and solutions that protect and control electric power systems, has named Bryan Fazzari Vice President of Marketing.
In his new role, Fazzari will oversee the global marketing strategy at SEL, leading a team of more than 80 marketing professionals including writers, editors, videographers, market researchers, event specialists, and web, graphic, and instructional designers.
“This role offers me an exciting opportunity to use my experience working alongside customers as a product owner to create efficient marketing, training, and educational content that really connects with our customers and has a lasting beneficial impact on our industry,” said Fazzari.
A native of Walla Walla, Washington, Fazzari began his career at SEL as a research intern in 2007, while attending the University of Idaho on a music scholarship as a classical violinist focusing on music and engineering. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2010, he was hired as an engineer in the SEL Engineering Services division in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served in various capacities as engineer, manager, and product owner for six years. In 2016, he transferred to the Research & Development division where he worked on developing and supporting automation hardware and software products. During his time in R&D, Fazzari worked closely with the SEL marketing teams on events, webinars, seminars, sales kits, marketing campaigns, advertising, video production, and more.
