Motorcyclist Injured in Fatal Lewiston Crash Stable in Spokane Hospital

An Orofino man who suffered serious injuries following a fatal motorcycle crash Sunday in Lewiston is listed in stable condition at a Spokane hospital.

25-year-old James Weese was airlifted to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and remains hospitalized.

Weese was operating a 2018 Yamaha motorcycle at around 1:20 p.m. Sunday when it lost control and hit a parked car near the intersection of 14th Street and 14th Avenue.

Both Weese and his 24-year-old passenger Alyssa Slusher of Lewiston, were thrown from the motorcycle. Slusher succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation and anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Lewiston Police at (208) 746-0171.

A Gofundme online campaign has been established to help pay for Slusher’s funeral expenses and help support her young son.
