The League of Women Voters is planning a Clarkston School Board candidate event tomorrow (Tue) night at 7:00 pm at Wall Walla Community College in Clarkston. Candidates to represent area #1 and #5 have committed to attend. While candidates file to represent an area, all registered voters are able to vote to select candidates in all areas.

The League of Women Voters invites citizens of the School District to hear from the candidates and ask questions. The League is a non-partisan political organization which encourages all citizens to register and vote.

Ballots for the Clarkston School Board election will be mailed to registered voters in the Clarkston School District in mid-October. Election Day is November 7 and ballots must be placed in one of three ballot drop boxes, or postmarked no later than election day in order to be counted in the election.

Washington residents who need to register to vote can do so online, or visit the Asotin County Auditor’s office at the Asotin County Courthouse, located at 135 2nd Street, in Asotin, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Fridays.
