The Idaho Food Bank Fund announced the recipients of their 2023 grants targeted to support nonprofits that provide nutrition awareness, promote healthy eating, and relieve hunger.
Thanks to the generosity of Idaho taxpayers who chose to donate to the Idaho Food Bank Fund, this year 37 organizations across the state received grants to further their work to address hunger in Idaho. The grants totaling $139,600 were specifically allocated to help recipients operate programs, purchase food, expand capacity, and to promote or provide nutrition education for under-served and marginalized Idahoans.
In north central Idaho, recipients include: $4,000 for the Clearwater County Senior Citizens Incorporated; the J.K Good Samaritan Food Bank in Juliaetta was also awarded $4,000; the LC Valley Youth Resource Center receives $3,000; the Deary Community Food Band receives $1,575; and Craigmont’s Pantry of Hope is being awarded $1,500.
