CLARKSTON, WA – A 31-year-old convicted rapist and registered sex offender has been arrested again. Daniel Allbright, who was convicted of 2nd-Degree Rape of a Child for a case in 2009, allegedly communicated with a minor for immoral purposes. One term of his Washington State Department of Corrections probation is that he can’t communicate with minors.
According to a Probable Cause Affidavit, the mother of a young teenage female contacted law enforcement and told them that the girl had been “Snapchatting” with Allbright and he told the girl not to tell anyone that he “would bring [her] food and marijuana dabs.” Allbright also allegedly replied to a picture of the girl that was posted, saying “I want pictures like that.”
The mother confronted Allbright, and he “admitted to trying to get photographs from her but not nudes,” the affidavit says. “Daniel told [the mother] that he wasn’t trying to do anything but “smoke” with her daughter. Daniel admitted that he was in the wrong and told her he was going to tell his [parole officer] what had happened.”
The affidavit adds that when investigators met with Allbright he admitted to chatting with the girl and offering her marijuana. He also reportedly admitted that he wanted to see more photos of the girl like the “provocative” one he saw on her Snapchat.
Meanwhile, during an interview with the girl, officials say she told them that Allbright made her feel “uncomfortable” when he asked for more photos.
“[She] also stated it was really weird of how quick he asked for more pictures of her after her accepting him as a friend on Snap Chat,” the affidavit says.
Allbright was booked into the Asotin County Jail yesterday morning following the investigation. He was charged with Communicating With a Minor for Immoral Purposes and a DOC Probation Violation.
