Alahondra Perez scored 11 points and Preslee Dempsey added 9 as the Clarkston High girl’s basketball team beat Richland 60-47 last (Thur) night during the Avista Holiday High School Basketball Tournaments at Lewis-Clark State.
The Bantams improved to 7-0 and will face Downey, California in the semi-final round tonight (Fri) at 7:30.
Meanwhile, the Clarkston boys struggled to get their offense going in a 76-34 loss to Meridian’s Rocky Mountain. Tanner Sweeney led Rocky with 15 points and Braxton Hansen had 13 in the win.
Jason Rinard led the Bantam boys with 10 points.
Rocky Mountain advances into the semi-final round where they’ll face Lapwai at 6 p.m. tonight.
Clarkston will face Downey, California in an elimination game today (Fri) at noon.
