SPOKANE, WA – The National Weather Service says rain and snow will be moving into southeast Washington and north-central Idaho this afternoon through tomorrow, and by the weekend we can expect blustery conditions with measurable amounts of snow, according to the agency’s Forecaster Greg Koch.

There is a Wind Advisory in effect for the Lewis-Clark Valley region, eastern Washington, and north-central Idaho.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO 7 PM PST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow and wind expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 4
  inches in the lower elevations and up to 5 inches Whitebird Grade
  and the higher terrain. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph Tuesday
  morning, then gusting to 45 mph Tuesday afternoon.

* WHERE...White Bird Grade, Highway 95 Slate Creek to Riggins, Camas
  Prairie, Greer Grade, and Grangeville and vicinity.

* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 7 PM PST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be affected. The combination of very strong
  wind and snowfall on Whitebird Grade could be hazardous for high
  profile vehicles especially between 2 and 8 am PST. Visibility
  will be reduced to less than one mile at times.
