Idaho Governor Brad Little will sign an executive order to establish his Operation Esto Perpetua and expand the initiative’s scope to include human trafficking mitigation during a ceremony today (Wed) in Boise.
Launched by Governor Little in 2022, Operation Esto Perpetua brought together law enforcement, families, and others in new ways to meaningfully reduce the flow of fentanyl and methamphetamine into the State of Idaho.
The executive order will expand Operation Esto Perpetua’s mission to include assessing the threat of human trafficking and issues related to the US-Mexico border.
In his State of the State and Budget Address, Governor Little announced he would send additional teams of Idaho State Police troopers to Texas, focusing on assisting with and learning about tactics used to deter human trafficking.
