A Kamiah man is facing drug charges following his arrest Saturday night.
According to a news release from the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, at around 9:08 p.m. a report was taken of a vehicle trying to run another vehicle off the road in the Woodland area near Kamiah.
Deputies were dispatched but were unable to locate the vehicle.
At around 10:30 p.m. a deputy spotted the suspect vehicle on Woodland Road and initiated a traffic stop after observing several infractions.
Other deputies responded to the scene where a drug-sniffing dog alerted on the vehicle.
Following a search of the vehicle, methamphetamine was discovered.
66-year-old Marvin Mendenhall was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
