Crews from the Lewiston Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the Orchards Tuesday night.
The fire on the 3700 block of 21st Street E. was reported just before 6 p.m. Tuesday. No one was home when the fire started and no injuries were reported.
Lewiston firefighters were able to enter the home and extinguish the fire, but, according to a news release, the structure was under construction and sustained significant damage – estimated at $200,000.
Along with the Lewiston Fire Department, the Wheatland Fire District, Lewiston Police and Avista Utilities also responded to the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
