Approximately 715 Avista and 725 Clearwater Power customers in Pierce, Weippe, and the surrounding areas will experience a power outage starting at 7 a.m. and ending at approximately 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Customers who will be impacted by the outage will be notified directly.
During the outage, Avista crews will be performing maintenance to their Weippe Substation. At the same time, Clearwater Power is using the planned outage to install new equipment that will increase reliability for its members.
No road closures are expected during the outage time.
