Arizona Christian Offense Continues to Roll in Win Over Lewis-Clark State

Adrian Santa Cruz pitched a complete game and Arizona Christian rolled to an 11-0 shutout win over Lewis-Clark State Tuesday in the NAIA National Opening Round Tournament presented by Avista at Harris Field.

Marques Titialii had 4 hits, including a homerun, and drove in 4 runs and Troy Collins added a homer and two RBI in the win.

Nick Seamons went 1 for 2 with a double, but the Warriors were held to a season-low 3 hits total.

Drake George took the loss – allowing 5 runs on 6 hits in 2 innings.

LC will play an elimination game against the University of British Columbia Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, with the winner facing unbeaten Arizona Christian in the title round Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. Arizona Christian now has a two-for-one chance at winning the opening round tournament and advancing to the Avista NAIA World Series.

In other action from the opening round tournament: Embry-Riddle of Arizona eliminated Oklahoma City with a 10-0 shutout over the Stars.

And in the other elimination contest, the University of British Columbia ended Embry-Riddle’s season with a 4-3 win to set up an 11th meeting with fellow Cascade Collegiate Conference rival Lewis-Clark State.
