The Avista NAIA World Series field has been whittled down to six teams following Day Three of the tournament Monday at Harris Field.
In Game #9 the top-seed Southeastern of Florida eliminated #3 seed Cumberlands of Kentucky 12-5, and in Game #10 Hope International of California ended the season for Indiana Southeast 12-1.
In the winner’s bracket: #5 seed Reinhardt of Georgia set an NAIA World Series for runs scored, hits collected and homeruns hit in a single series game in a 30-13 win over #9 seed Arizona Christian. And in the final game of Day Three, #2 seed Georgia Gwinnett defeated #6 seed Tennessee Wesleyan 10-6.
Tuesday’s schedule features two elimination games as Hope International squares-off against Arizona Christian at 11:05 a.m. and Southeastern faces Tennessee Wesleyan at 3:05 p.m.
The lone two unbeaten teams – Reinhardt and Georgia Gwinnett will face off at 6:35 p.m.
