CLARKSTON, WA – One person was killed and another seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of State Route 129 and Critchfield Road at about 12:49 a.m. this morning. According to the Washington State Patrol, a 2006 Honda Civic was northbound passing Critchfield Road, about three miles south of the Clarkston City limits. A second vehicle, a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer driven by 25-year-old Hayden Deeds of Lewiston was southbound on SR 129 and approaching Critchfield Road when the Civic crossed the center line and struck him in the southbound lane.
Deeds, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. The other driver has not been identified at this time.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
