Fire agencies from throughout the LC Valley and surrounding area responded to a wildfire near Peola Road outside Clarkston yesterday (Wed) afternoon.
According to the Asotin County Fire District 1, the fire, estimated to be around 300 acres may have been caused by farming equipment.
Responding fire departments included Clarkston, Lewison, Asotin, Whitman County, the Wheatland Fire District and personnel attached to the nearby Cougar Creek Fire.
Remaining crews are developing mop-up strategies that officials say may last two or more days.
