Three degrees within Lewis Clark State College’s Business & Computer Science Division have received reaffirmation of specialized accreditation by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). The approved accreditation period began Aug. 1 and will be in effect until July 31, 2031.
To obtain the accreditation LC State underwent a rigorous 11-part process comprised of application materials, site visits, self-study drafts, attending the IACBE Accreditation Institute, accreditation review by the IACBE Board of Commissioners, and more.
Degrees accredited through the process include LC State’s bachelor’s in accounting, business administration, and business management.
“LC State offers high quality programs at an affordable price, and this accreditation is further proof of that,” LC State President Cynthia Pemberton said. “This is a very demanding accreditation recognition to achieve. I congratulate the Business & Computer Science Division on this well-earned designation.”
The Business & Computer Science Division degrees passed compliancy with no notes or observations to change during their period of accreditation. The division will continue advancing forward as their Interim Quality Assurance Report is due to IACBE Nov. 1, 2027.
According to the announcement by IACBE, “the Business and Computer Science Division has demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement, excellence in business education, and advancing academic quality in its business programs and operations.”
Recognition of this accreditation will occur at the 2025 IACBE Annual Conference and Assembly meeting in April 2025. The conference and assembly will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana.
