Julio Rodriguez had two hits, including a homerun and drove in two and Randy Arozarena added 3 hits with a homer and the Seattle Marines beat the Tampa Bay Rays 6-2 yesterday (Wed) at T-Mobile Park.
Victor Robles also homered as the M’s took the series two games to one.
On the mound, Luis Castillo got the win. The Seattle righthander allowed 2 runs on 6 hits with 4 strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings.
The Mariners travel to Anaheim where they’ll begin a 3-game weekend series against the Angels tomorrow (Fri) night.
Meanwhile, former Lewis-Clark State slugger Seth Brown homered twice last night in leading the Oakland A’s to a 9-6 win on the road in Cincinnati. Brown hit a solo homerun in the 4th inning and then hit what turned out to be the game winning 3-run homer in the 8th. The two long balls give Brown 12 on the year.
