P1FCU Hosts Free Shred Event to Celebrate International Credit Union Day

P1FCU will host a free shred event on Friday in honor of International Credit Union Day from 11 am to 2 pm at five of its inland northwest branches: in Lewiston at it’s Warner Avenue location, as well as Meridian, Walla Walla, Rathdrum, and Tonasket.

According to a press release, with scams and identity theft on the rise, this event provides members with a secure way to dispose of sensitive documents and protect their personal information.

Members are encouraged to bring up to three boxes of documents for secure shredding. The service is free of charge, but certain items cannot be accepted, including CDs or DVDs, laminated papers, binder clips, classification folders, newspapers, photographs, snack bags, used paper cups or plates, cardboard, plastic bags or bottles, rolled blueprints, metal objects, or X-rays.
