Authorities are searching for a wanted sexual predator in north Idaho
Last (Tue) night, the U.S. Marshals Service Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force attempted to arrest 42-year-old fugitive Christian Fischer in Athol on his out-of-state warrant. However, Fischer effectively eluded law enforcement on Kelso Lake Road and his whereabouts are currently unknown.
In January of 2022, Fischer was arrested by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Department in Florida for Traveling to Meet a Minor stemming from using a computer to lure a child for sexual purposes. He was arrested with condoms, lubricant, rope, narcotics, and other sexual implements on his person.
In February, Fischer attended his trial while out of custody and on bond. On the second day of the trial, he failed to appear in court and has been on the run ever since. Subsequently a warrant charging him with Failure to Appear was issued. He was ultimately convicted in absentia for Traveling to Meet a Child, and the court in Florida is awaiting his return for formal sentencing.
Fischer is a white male, 5’10”, 200 lbs., has blonde hair and hazel-colored eyes. He is also known to dress like a woman.
Anyone with information on Fischer’s whereabouts is urged to contact the local US Marshals office at (208) 518-4024, the US Marshals Communication Center at 1-800-336-0102, or USMS Tips at www.usmarshals.gov/tips.
