A Riggins-area man is facing multiple charges, including felony strangulation.
According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, at around 12:15 a.m. Sunday Idaho County Dispatch received a report of a domestic battery that had occurred on Seven Devils Road just outside of Riggins.
Idaho County Deputies responded and investigated the incident.
61-year-old Darwin Vander Esch was arrested for felony attempted strangulation, and was also cited for misdemeanor domestic battery and misdemeanor intentional destruction of a telecommunication device.
