Two Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle in Lewiston

Two teenagers were seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle late yesterday (Thur) afternoon in the Lewiston Orchards.

According to a news release from the Lewiston Police Department, the unidentified teens, ages 16 and 17, were attempting to cross Thain Road at about 4:30 p.m. when they were struck by a northbound vehicle driven by 65-year-old Corrine Reedy of Lewiston.

Both teens were transported to St Joseph Regional Medical Center by ambulance with serious injuries. Reedy was uninjured.

Thain Road was closed for about 4 hours while the Lewiston Police Department’s Major Collision Investigation Team was on scene.

The Lewiston Police Department is reminding drivers to be cautious of pedestrians, especially near intersections, and that pedestrians use crosswalks and wear reflective clothing if possible.
