OROFINO, ID – The Clearwater Community Complex is progressing toward the construction of Orofino’s new state-of-the-art aquatic complex. According to the Clearwater Progress, this $4.9 million project will replace the town’s aging pool and create a hub for recreation, competition, and connection for residents of all ages.
The new complex, with the goal to open in 2026, will feature two pools:
- An 8-lane, 25-yard competition pool, ideal for swim meets, athletic training, and fitness, paddler safety courses.
- A zero-entry recreation and lesson pool, designed for accessibility, family fun, fitness classes and swim instruction.
The project, estimated to cost $4.9 million, is funded through donations, grants, and corporate sponsorships. Clearwater Community Complex, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, leads the construction and will manage operations upon completion.
Donations are being accepted at LCCU in Orofino under the Clearwater Community Complex fund, and a $20,000 donor match is in place between now and January 15th.
