Both Lewis-Clark State basketball teams turned in historic moments in Saturday’s doubleheader sweep of Corban University in Cascade Conference play inside the P1FCU Activity Center.

The 13th ranked Warrior women saw sophomore Darian Herring record the school’s first-ever triple-double. The forward scored 16 points with 13 rebounds and 10 assists in LC’s 94-48 victory over Corban. Sitara Byrd led the way with a career-high 26 points as the LC women improved to 14-2 overall and 8-2 in league play.

Meanwhile, the 15th ranked Warrior men bounced back with a surprising lopsided 82-55 win over the Corban men.

Alton Hamilton led the offense with 20 points and the LC offense shot nearly 80 percent from the field in the second half to blow open a tight game after halftime. John Lustig added 15 points and 7 rebounds in helping the men improve to 13-3 overall and 8-3 inside the Cascade Conference.

Both teams wrap-up the first half of conference play this weekend at Southern Oregon Friday and at Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls Saturday.
