The Idaho State Police responded to a fatal crash that occurred on yesterday (Tue) afternoon at about 1:30 on State Highway 11 near the French Mountain Road, in Clearwater County.
According to a news release, a 2005 Buick Century, driven by a 65-year-old unidentified woman from Weippe was traveling northbound when the Buick crossed left of center and collided with a 2016 GMC Sierra pickup truck. The GMC was driven by a 55-year-old unidentified man from Pierce. The driver of the GMC was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of the Buick Century succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The highway was shut down for approximately 2 hours while first responders investigated the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
