2025 FACULTY/STAFF AWARD WINNERS
Tim Cole – Student Success Center/Warrior Pantry Coordinator
Cole runs the LC State Student Success Center and Warrior Pantry on campus, making him pivotal in the success of student across campus. He oversees the Tutoring Lab that includes the Writing Center and various subject tutoring programs. The Warrior Pantry operates through donations from community and campus members. Food donations are accepted during business hours Monday through Friday.
LC State Men’s Basketball’s Alton Hamilton on Tim Cole:
“Tim works in the student success center in the library and runs the Warrior Pantry. He greets everyone as they walk through the library and makes it a point to learn and remember names. If you have a question, Tim has the answer. The Warrior Pantry that he runs gets food from local businesses and members of the community that are willing to donate. He keeps the pantry stocked every week and advertises it to everyone he can. A ton of students, including myself, make runs to the pantry multiple times a week. This Thanksgiving break he even made a bunch of Thanksgiving food, brought it to the library during break, and offered it to everyone that couldn’t go home.”
Kristina Keener – LC State Athletics Business/Ticket Manager
Keener joined LC State Athletics in May of 2015 as the Business Manager. Her duties include ticketing, scholarships, travel, deposits and budgets, but her impact on Warrior Athletics goes for beyond that. Keener keeps the department running from nearly every angle. Any financial question, be it budgets, travel, scholarships or policy can be answered by Keener. She knows all season ticket holders by name and has made it a point to build relationships. Though behind the scenes, she keeps the student-athletes taken care of by handling scholarships, assisting in eligibility and schedule changes and goes well beyond what is asked to keep things running smoothly for everyone in the department.
LC State Volleyball head coach Katie Palmer on Kristina Keener:
“Kristina doesn’t like the attention, but there is no doubt that she continues to make LC State great because of her work ethic and love for people. She goes above and beyond to support the mission of the institution as well as the direction of the Athletic Department leadership. She helps students, coaches, admin, ticket holders, volunteers, etc. She is a great person to recognize. My student-athletes call her ‘Chief” because she knows the answers to so many questions.”
