Traffic Violation Ends With K9 Search, Drug Charges

GRANGEVILLE, ID – A 42-year-old man was arrested Saturday outside Grangeville after an Idaho County Sheriff’s deputy stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation. According to a press release, the deputy stopped Scott Rollins at around 1:38 p.m. on the truck route.

“K9 Millie and her handler arrived on scene and performed an open-air sniff on the vehicle and alerted. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and methamphetamine and paraphernalia were found,” officials say.

Rollins was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor criminal contempt of a lawful order, and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. He was also cited for an infraction for operating a motor vehicle without registration, plates, or stickers.
