Lewiston School Board Announces Two In-House Superintendent Candidates

The Lewiston School Board will conduct interviews with two current school district employees to replace outgoing Superintendent Lance Hansen.

According to a news release, the two are Lisa Fenter and Tim Sperber.

Fenter earned a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies and Japanese from the University of Oregon and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho. She joined the district in June 2011 as a Curriculum Resource Teacher in Language Arts. In July 2012, she was appointed Director of Curriculum, a role she has held since. Fenter holds an Idaho Education Credential with endorsements in School Principal, World Language – Japanese, English, and Social Studies.

Sperber earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from the University of Idaho and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Washington State University. He joined the district in July 2006 as the Coordinator of Tammany High School. The following year, he transitioned to Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Lewiston High School. In July 2012, he was appointed Elementary Principal at Whitman, and in July 2021, he assumed the role of Secondary Principal at Sacajawea Middle School. Sperber holds an Idaho Education Credential with endorsements in School Principal, English, Social Studies, and History.

The school board plans to interview both in an executive session Monday.
