LEWISTON, ID—The Lewiston Fire Department has promoted a firefighter. According to a press release, Joe Evangelho was promoted from reserve firefighter to full-time rank.
“Joe brings with him valuable experience from his previous service with the North Central Fire Protection District in Fresno, California. He joined the Lewiston Fire Department as a Reserve Firefighter in April 2024 and quickly became a respected member of the team,” LFD says. “Joe is currently completing his final clinical rotations to earn his paramedic certification, further enhancing his ability to serve the community in both fire and medical emergencies.”
“Firefighter Evangelho exemplifies the high moral character and dedication we seek in our personnel—qualities that define those who answer the call to serve,” Fire Chief Greg Rightmier says.
“The Lewiston Fire Department is proud to welcome Firefighter Evangelho and looks forward to his continued growth and contributions to the department and the citizens of Lewiston,” LFD adds.
