The LC State and Oregon Tech baseball teams split Sunday’s Cascade Conference doubleheader to split the weekend series with two wins each. The Warriors won the first game 7-6 before OIT won the nightcap 11-6. Charlie Updegrave tied the Cascade Conference record for career home runs in the second game of the day with his 39th homer

The split has the LC State record at 19-10 overall and 16-5 in CCC play.

In the first game, Bulla Ephan led the Warrior offense with three hits – including a homerun and drove in four runs.

In the second game, Jack Sheward and Charlie Updegrave both homered for LC, but it wasn’t enough as the Owls’ Logan Macy and Ka’ala Tamm combined to drive in 5 runs.

The Warriors close out the non-conference portion of their scheduled with a single game Wednesday night in Walla Walla against NCAA Division III Whitman.
