The City of Lewiston Public Works Department will replace a traffic signal cabinet at the intersection of 10th Street and Thain Road in the Lewiston Orchards.
Work is scheduled to begin at about 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1st.
Crews will be at 10th Street at Thain Road which will close to traffic. Access to Warner Avenue, Arby’s, and Chevron from 10th Street will remain open. No through traffic will be allowed to cross Thain Road while work is being conducted.
The project replaces critical infrastructure that was severely damaged on May 31st last year, when a driver collided with the signal cabinet and power supply. The driver was later charged with two counts of striking fixtures and one count of failing to notify law enforcement of the incident.
